Circuit Court is a court of general jurisdiction and a court of record. The Circuit Court Clerk’s office is responsible for managing all records for the Civil and Criminal divisions. The staff is responsible for performing the internal clerical operations for both courts as defined by law.
Judge Spitzer is a native Tennessean who practiced civil law before serving as an Assistant District Attorney in Anderson County for over 13 years. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt Law School and also served six years as a medic in the Tennessee Army National Guard.
